You might want to go to your doctor if you reach 10 days.

Sorry to change the subject but I've got a little problem of my own, thought you might be able to help me!
My periods are usually every 4-5 weeks and last about 5-7 days (from start to very finish) but this month it came 6weeks after my last and never Really started properly, lasted about 2 days and wasn't really worthy of the title period.
I know I'm not pregnant, as I'm a virgin, and am not on the pill, Nothing has vchanged in the last few weeks as in diet or anything i'm just confused?

Maybe we should both go to the doctors!
Good luck with your worries!

periods can often change and do things like that! (little buggers!) they can be really regular and then suddenly it can all change so i wouldnt worry too much. u'd think by our age they would be sorted wouldnt u?!

if u are really worried about it maybe a trip to the doctors, or family planning clinic if ur embarrassed would be a good idea

hope ive helped

Your periods can take up to six months to settle into a nice routine when you're on the pill so don't panic, just stick with it. Obviously see the doctor if it really worries you

If it is a heavy period (needing several towels or tampons every day) then go straight back to your doctor - or at least ring the surgery for some advice. You may need a checkup or perhaps a change of pill.

If you feel generally unwell and have lots of stomach pains, even if the period is light, get to the doc's fast for a pregnancy test. Better safe than sorry!

Thanks everyone that has answered, I am still really stuck as to what to do and am just trying to ignore it at the moment, I don't know what to do and I really don't want to see a doctor although my bf is being so nice about it and keeps urging me to go. The thing is it seemed to stop and then started again but is only very light...aghhhhhhhhhhhhh

hi! i don't know if you will still read this as the last post was a week ago, but just to let you know i had the same problem! the second time i went on the pill my period lasted the entire duration of the month through to the end of the second period (with a few days in between when i thought it had stopped). i knew that it was probably caused by the hormones in the pill so while i was concerned because it was a nuisance, i wasn't too worried. i continued taken the pill and after that second period my menstruation patterns went back to being regular. the next time i went back on the pill (having gone off it because i broke up with my boyfriend) my period was normal. later i mentioned this anyway to my gp, and he said this is quite common. the hormones in the pill, the first few times you use it, can affect your body in this way, and can affect everyone differently. so, not to worry! just try to ignore it and it'll get better!
