May i remind you lovedup, that this is where we can give our own personal views on the subject. and my personal opinion is that she should not be broadcasting the brith on the internet.
you dont even know me, so dont tell me i dont know about life matters, as ive been thru more stuff than you can imagine

Eh? I didn't even comment on the internet saga I was taking umbrage with your first points about going out during pregancy. Your comments were not only thoughtless, but really naive. You show your age in the things you are saying.

May I also remind you that a big part of the Site is discussions and if I disagree with a point I am also within my rights to say so.

Finally, I do doubt that you have "been thru more stuff than I can imagine." We all have an assortment of life experience, both good stuff and bad. It makes us who we are, but I stand by my comments that you really are too young to be commenting realistically on Jordans situation. As a 23 year old mum to be myself I take the comments quite personally. I really am not willing to accept some child's opinion that pregnant women are unfit mothers who do not love or want their baby if they socialise.

I have been through pregnancy and miscarriage, i did everything i could to make sure that my baby was ok and not in any dangeram saying is that going out as much as she is can be dangerous, burning the candle at both ends is bad enough, but its worse when you are pregnant.
Ive have been through the situation, and i know what i am talking about, so dont block people out of dicussions just because of age.

The girl isn't working just now! I'm at uni and in the last two weeks through neccessity have been putting in 40 hour weeks study. I also work 15 hours a week as a supervisor, which can gets quite pressurised. I am still able to get one night out a week with my friends. I may be tired, but I get plenty of rest, eat well and manage to get an afternoon kip on weekdays, which really perks me up. My doctor and midwife are more than happy with me keeping active as it offers many advantages in pregnancy and labour. My baby is progressing really well and seems to be perfectly healthy.

I'm prety sure Jordan isn't burning the candle at both ends...just the night time end! I just think it's pretty shit for you to casting aspersions on her ability as a mum, for having a life.

I'm really sorry for your loss. Having had a miscarraige myself (at around about your age) I know how traumatic it can be. However, they are very common and it would drive you crazy sitting on your arse for 9 months and wouldn't make a great deal of difference to the ability to carry a child.

The main things to avoid that can cause miscarraige I have avoided, as I'm sure Jordan has, but socialising and keeping active are not causes of miscarraige.

Im not really critising. It more concern. I know going out isnt a cause of miscarrige, but there is always a risk of damage.
My friend (shes now 27) lost her baby at 31weeks. she had been going out every week until 3am, she had not been drinking or smoking or doing drugs. It was the sheer exhaustion that caused her baby to die and for her to have a miscarriage. according to her midwife, this is not a rare thing to happen, as shes seen it happen at anytime during the pregnancy.
Anything that can harm the mother, can harm the baby, i think she should just stop n think about things, and if need be, just slow things down a bit.

By the way, my friend has just given birth to a healthy baby boy

I feel that your body tells you when you need to take it slower during pregnancy and am an advocate of keeping as active as possible. However I can take your points on board, without agreeing with them.

It's a subject that's close to my heart just now and I feel a real empathy for Jordan. Everyone has an opinion of how pregnant wimmin should behave and they can tend to shove these opinions down your throat, without any regard for the mum to be's feelings. This I feel does more damage as advice is very often conflicting.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one or this thread will go on forever!

Hi , im not sticking up for adults who smoke when pregnant cos its really dumb as they know the risks, but my mum smoked when she was pregnant with me and i wasnt born with any defects or anything.
I mean, i suffer from tension headches and doctors think that was cos my mum smoked when pregnant but there are a lot worse off people than me.

Hunni, just because your daughter was ok, doesnt mean smoking in pregnancy isnt harmful. its been medically proven for it to be harmful. it increases the risk for all sorts of problems, and the baby doesnt have the choice whether to have nicotine, tar and other toxic chemicals go directly into its bloodstream via the placenta. if you chose to take the risk of having a baby at 13 and smoking throughout your pregnancy, thats your lookout, but to say smoking in pregnancy isnt a problem coz your daughter came out `luverly`. well thats just stupid

That is not something to brag about...who knows if there may be health/development related problems 'later on' from the effects of smoking during pregancy.

When is the full moon ? I sense its soon...
