should i be thankful that its got easier, or worried that something is wrong!

    Don't worry, you're not going to be pregnant. If you have heavy periods, the pill helps the pains (I had no strong pains when on the pill). Don't stress, the body is a strange thing!

    EssexBabe, you had unprotected sex 5 months ago and for the past four months you have had heavy and painful periods. Maybe I am seeing a link that doesn't exist but you may have had an ectopic pregnancy (e.g.) and not known.

    I am not a girl, so feel free to correct me, and I don't want to worry you but is this a normal thing to happen for some girls? I suggest you see your doctor about this.

    It's VERY rare for a girl to still have periods whilst pregnant, and surely after 5 months there would be other symptoms ie a big belly?

    Not if she miscarried. Ectopic pregnancies are painful and cause bleeding.

    Never mind, I'm sure it was nothing.

    Ok, I'm not too sure but I think a trip to the doctor would be a real good idea, just to make sure.

    Take care xx

    i would go and see a doc if i were you, i doubt it was an etopic pregnancy or miscarriage because u would have REALLY known about it.
    i had really really bad period pains - they were so bad i couldnt walk and sometimes i would throw up.
    <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="eek.gif" border="0">
    the doc told me i had a condition known as primary dysmenorreoh ( i cant spell it tho'!!!
    <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0"> )
    basically what it is, is that there is a hormone imbalance, and the uterus releases too many progestoglandins which makes it contract as if you are in the early stages of labour!!! <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="eek.gif" border="0">
    my doc started me off on strong painkillers but they didnt work for me, so i am now on the pill, and it has worked a treat!
    so i would def see a doc cos the condition is more common than u think and it can pop up at any time
    hope this helps
