My balls are aching - seriously!

I don't know if they took a knock over the weekend, but my right nad has a dull ache constantly (esspecially when I walk or nudge it). I just wondered if the actual ball (inside the scrotum) can bruise, it feels a bit harder and bigger than normal. Should i be concerned?

Someone just tell me this is a common thing and then I can stop worring that my tubes are knotted or something. It's not very painful but I've been aware of it for a couple of days. It's like the waves of dull throbbing like after a knee to the jewels, only faint.

Also, is there a site that explains how to fully examine youe testicles because I'm a hypercondriac and the right age for testicular cancer. I know to feel for hard lumps but all the ducts and tubes are always in the way.

Cheers Karla, what would I do without you?

My nad has ceased with its acheing and returned to normal size... so nothing to worry about. I'll give them a once-over in the shower later just to be on the safe side.

Don't worry, you're not the only one who's had (or got) that problem. I found a lump in my testicles when I was 16, and I nearly fainted. Images of protracted periods of chemotherapy etc raced through my mind, and I was so worried about it . I went to the doc and it turned out to be a cyst (thank God), which was promptly (meaning within a year in NHS standards) removed. I never had any problems after that, until last summer when for no reason at all they swelled up and I could hardly move. The day after they were fine. And just recently I've been having the same type of pain as you (just as the summer started), and after 3 courses of antibiotics it still isn't totally sorted out , so I'm off to the urinogenitary clinic in February (the day before valintines!) Honestly, something as simple as a pair of dangly bits can cause so much grief... There you go, my full personal genital history, bared to the masses. But anyway, that's my story. I'm glad you feel a lot better now, having problems down there can really cause some sleepness nights. Cheers.
