hey,
I get really bad period pain! Both my legs and stomach ache; I know this is normal but recently I've been getting more, heavier pains. "Pain killer" tablets aren't doing the trick and I have to usually lie down for a few hours till it goes away. Are there any good pills out there that are made just for this sort of thing? I need to get something to reduce the pain cos I'm going on an outward bound trip soon and you have to jump about, swim in rivers etc..
Any help would be great.

my best advice would be to go see your GP, it may be embarrassing but they really have seen/heard it all before. Some contraceptive pills can reduce the flow and the pain, your GP may be able to help you with this. In more extreme cases the contraceptive injection is offered...

In the meantime ask your pharmacist for recommendations of painkillers specifically aimed at period pain. Then there's always the hot water bottle, chocolate, TLC and duvet.........
Hope this helps
