Ignore people who piss me off.

With all these people wanting to get fit and join a gym, I'm going to have to make every minuete there count because in January all of the resolutioners show up for their annual 4 week workout. :D

The same thing I do every day. It's just a calendar, no more reason to change something next time the sun comes up than on any of the other 364 times it does through a year.

Actually do the europe inter-rail trip I'm planning.
    Leave my piss-take under-paid job
Re-save the money I'm going to spend travelling by the end of the year. (Around £2000 at the moment)

I'm going to chill more and be more laid-back. Take school less seriously and change my attitude towards it. Anxiety doesn't help. I'm still going to continue working my ass off, of course, and i'll still be doing the necessary extra in certain subjects because that's what i like and, in certain aspects, need as a preparatory. I still predict many all-nighters, gah. But i'll be going out more and stop declining stuff and being more initiative with my mates. I've noticed that i, naturally enough, perform better when i'm not stressed and i'm happy. That's my goal -- if happiness is obtainable, i'll do everything i can to reach it, and not thinking about work all the time.

Also snap out of my currently, "decadent" lifestyle filled with excessive self-indulgence and, quite often being antisocial.

It's that which needs to change, my attitude. But if i was to be honest, it has already changed and i don't have any new years resolutions.

I make resolutions all the time not just for new year. But some of the things i need to do are find a job, find a new place to live, find new friends in the new place im living, seek help with anxiety.

Try to not get wound up so easily and not hit people
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
    I will

    - sculpt my guns more
    - go to the gym more
    - continue to fight the power
    - get a job for after uni
    - make like GnR and move to the city
    - rock and roll on a daily basis
    - continue to smoke as much as possible before the ban and hopefully annoy as many people as possible in the process
    - bury the hatchet with my ex

Failing that, I may well go into politics.

Stop being such a lazy fat bastard, and to actually do some work for uni rather than failing or just scraping by like ive done for the rest of my life so far.

    I have a few:
    * To maintain all I've achieved this year and remain happy, confident and strong.
    * To actually use the cross trainer I bought a few months back - aim to use it at least 3 times a week
    * To try to get back to my normal weight and lose a stone (or two...)
    * To get a decent degree.
    * Not let any boy fuck me about - I've had too much of that this year
    * After University, have fun for a while, take a few holidays but then find a job (most likely to be temping for the short term) and to find new accomodation as they are kicking me out in the summer >.<
    * To not let people walk all over me like I have done this year - Hopefully this year, I'll realise who my REAL friends are

    I think thats it...

... okay... so i haven't made any NY resolutions but what is the point of new years resolutions? ~ i mean, if you want to change something about yourself or your lifestyle you're going to do it when you want to / are ready to. why does adding a date to it make it any different? - presumably you're more likely to fail because you're doing something just so you can say ''my new years resolution is...'' without much thought behind it?!... i don't know... i don't see much point in them myself.
