We got friends a doughnut maker for Christmas, thought that's not very practical when you're moving into a new house.

I could pop the vibtator in the toaster so when she open it the lil rabbit will pop out and slap her in the eye. :thumb:

Microwave, kettle, toaster. Maybe some scales. Outside of those items I think any other thing that isn't a large white-goods appliance will gather dust for 95% of the time, and probably be used a couple of times a year.

Like these things are all "quirky" or "interesting" but fairly useless -

    Electric carving knife
    Smoothie making
Sandwich toaster * (Ok these are nice, but pain in the arse to clean)
    Ice-cream maker
    Popcorn oven

    Etc..

what are the chances of them having about a billion pieces of cutlery, 3 toasters and 5 kettles then?

It's only a fucking coffee machine. But then again, a George Foreman is only a grill and everyone fell for that bit of marketing too.

Errrrrmmm....a steamer. Don't think anyone's said that yet. Ooooh, and a rice cooker.

What is the point of a rice cooker? What's wrong with a saucepan.

I use my george foreman grill but only because I don't have a normal cooker with grill and oven. Some applicances just seem silly and waste space and money.
