How many texts do you get per day? I am really interested to know because for the last few weeks my mobile has come to a complete stand-still :(
i may as welll throw the damn thing in the bin. the only texts ive been getting have been from o2 or uni advertising events etc etc. so i just wanna know how many <b>genuine</b> texts do you recieve in the course of one day?

and also do you think guys get less texts/calls than girls?

    I get between 5 - 20 msgs per day.
    I do thnk girls use their phone more than guys.

    Depends which day. For many years, i can swear I didn't get a single genuine text, but during certain weeks, i get more than enough. :) I'd say on average, less than 1 text per day... some days it goes way beyond that, some i never get. It varies, and it's difficult to set a specific number, but i don't get many... :(

    Besides, you have to remember that when you send, you'll recieve - they might be in the same situation as you. Who knows?

    But i'm just a loser. /self-pity. ;)

    can be up to 50 on a weekend depending on whats going on.

    I'd much rather have one decent phone call than 1000 texts, they are a piss poor form of communication really.

    I don't really know why, ever since we met we've just text each other everyday for the past 2+ years.

    Doesn't cost loads of money no, both on contract and we get alot of texts included.

    And yes i can move my fingers!

    I like texting, can see the disadvantages but it surely is a more convenient way of communicating (within reason, of course - and not money-wise). i don't want to call people all the time, texting serves as a remedy.

    I can't see the harm it'd do to you're fingers, tbh.

    i'm a big fan of txting, its a easy way to get the message across without fannying about, its free as well cos its all included in my contract (obviously i pay for that). it's easier when im out and about in noisy places too or while im at work and its inconveineint to make a call.

    Depends what I'm up to really. Some days none, some days around 10. I tend to phone people though if I want something, I'm not the type just to text for the sake of it.

    It depends whether i'm organising something or not. On average i would say about 2 usually from my boyfriend asking how work was, and in the evening i just alwaysget him to use his phone to organise going out and stuff so all the texts go to that, haha yes i am lazy.

    Depends on the day really for me, I'll usually receive at least 5-10 a day but that can go up to 20-30 quite easily.

    I also receive 5-10 phone calls a day from different people, but that can be more or less depends what day and what's happening. My phone actually rings too much, it does my head in when all I want to do is chill out.

    Had a bit of a crazy friday night/saturday day so by 11 o'clock saturday night I was dead to the world on the couch, I woke up Sunday morning and had 15 missed calls and a few texts from midnight to 5 in the morning from various people, I wouldn't have being a happy chappy if any of them had woke me up, it even managed to vibrate my phone off the table and across the room lol

    I get about 20 a day, usually from my boyfriend saying things like "can we have lasagne for tea?" or "where is the iron?" or "will you call your mum". As you can see, nothing exciting. Nobody ever calls my mobile though.

    I'd say a few a day. I only really use texts to ask specific questions and stuff. If I want to chat, I'll call someone. But I'll usually go a few days with none, then have quite a lot on the one day.

    As I very rarely have credit I don't get many texts because when people do text me I can never reply. When I don't have credit, I usually get about 10 a week but again this can vary, sometimes I can go weeks without getting a text and sometimes I'll get a day where my phone is making that annoying sound every 5 mins. If I actually have credit and I can actually be fucked to have a text convo with someone then that also means I have alot more texts. But again it depends on the circumstances and the person.

    Not that much, a couple a week, but I don't get stupid "Ohhhh hiiiiiiiii... how R U?" txts, usually just when somethings up, or something to tell.

    Like when georg was drugged up and asked me via txt how the hell he got to the airport (it's 50 miles from his home).

    Or when he got his girlfriend..
    Where I am (on saturday night)

    txts with some content in it.

    I don't care about drunk txts or stupid I'm bored so text someone with something inane texts, people jamming up my inbox.

    Between one and five if I'm meeting my boyfriend that day and we didn't completely set a place/time. Right now I'm getting a couple off Mum a day as Dad's in hospital.

    Normally though, I'm lucky to get a text a day. Just get lots of phone calls, usually off work. :rolleyes:

    Some days I only get one or two, some days I get what feels like 14 million.

    I'm not a big fan of texting anymore, can't be arsed basically and usually just give whoever it is a quick bell instead.
