C&C Lock up

Hmmm, this might be due to Vista im not sure - Anyway im playing Command & Conquer Red alert 2 Yuris Revenage (a mouth full i know) and it seams to lock up, now i though it might of been the map but its happened on two of them these are newly downloaded ones!

Im thinking it might be vista because when i go into Task thing cpu is 100%

I'm going to format tomorrow so bye bye vista :grump:

    I would think it's down to a slight compatability issue with it being a fairly old game and all.

    I know! Vistas alright not what i booast about it to be tho haha

    yeah, I dont know much about the inner workings of vista, but there were some backwards compatibility issues between xp and '98 etc, so I would assume there will inevitibly be some between vista and older versions.

    especially now pc's are too fast to run some old games.

    true, i had one game i loved Lego island!!! loved it but it wont work now..

    I've set the thing to Launch in XP mode thing and it lasted longer this time - I saved my game Mwhaha! But it still locked up but i got alot more game play out of it

    Right click and set priority process to low or lowest? Let us know how you get on :)

    Defo sounds like teh vista is causing the problem. I found it hard to run Theme Park world (:o ) but there are patches and you had to install it in a certain way.

    when XP was first released it had terrible support for games too, it just takes time
