Somebody asked me out recently who ive liked for ages as a good friend, I said that id rather be friends. Now, he wont speak to me and I dont know what to do. Please help me

    tell him its nothing personal and u just dont feel about him in that way and that he should grow up.

    for god's sake no! if u want to remain someone's friend do not make them think that it's their fault and say 'grow up', that won't work, trust me, i know from personal experience.

    But he probably feels that 'i just want to be friends' is an excuse for u not liking him, he might think u don't find him attractive or something like that. You have to re-assure him that the reason is tht u don't want to mess up the friendship u already have.

    He's also going to feel really really awkward about talking to u now, it won't be forever but u really should approach him before you grow too far apart.

    I once did this same thing myself and i was too embaressed to talk to her for about a week, but gradually we became friends again, it's just a quite embarressing thing to be rejected, but really communication is the key here <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"&gt;
