out of hours clinics.

can you actually go in and see someone or is it just for on call doctors?

    Depends what the context is, I've come across ones where its a regular doctors service that's provided out of regular hours for people like commuters, other times its where you can see the on call doctor, for when you need a doctor but not a house visit.

    You can go in and see someone, but they tend to be nurse-operated, rather than staffed by doctors. The ones around here are, anyway.

    If it's a walk in centre then you don't have to but if it's in a surgery then you probably will have to phone first
