Exactly lol. Thought my nanny had been feeding me lies then
Yes, I live in a village and everyone knows each other so there was no problem there.
Nope but I would. You're just having bad reservations because something bad happened to you, doesn't mean it will happen to your son.
Nope but my ma and da do.
It actually has Pagan roots.
America just commercialised it.
I bet it was Hallmark that did that
True.
But it is still used as an excuse to go begging. Which is wrong.
Not if you're a kid. It's just a way to get free sweeties, where's the harm in that?
Making me get off my arse, thats the harm
If it shall be celebrated, it should be celebrated for what it is. And how many people would agree to join in a pagan festival that isn't about scrounging sweets and lobbing eggs at peoples houses?
Aye, they are the worst. 1x Jetwash is a good weapon. Also, an Air Rifle works too.
Carol Singers... the worst of the worst. Just tell them you are a Satanist, or Jehova, or Jew, or something.
Well what do ya know. Trick or treating does go back to the orignial pagan festival.

The words "no thanks we're jewish" come in very handy at Xmas for all the singers, that and taking the doorbell batteries out!
There's always the worry about something bad happening, knocking on strange doors is definitely exposing children to more danger than they'd usually be exposed to in your average night... but if they're supervised (or when they're a bit older, as long as they stay in the locality) and well-behaved I don't see the problem, I'll definitely take my children trick or treating in the future.
