I'm loath to get involved in this but the problem is that the comments were made at all. Posting "you can almost see her nipples" or whatever when there's a lot of cleavage on display is pretty catty. Probably not worth all this uproar but still.
And given that this is the message board of an advice website, a website that will attract vunerable people who might want to join in with the picture posting, it might make that a lot tougher for them if they worry about the response.
I'm too tired to check if this post even makes sense or conveys what I'm thinking. It's not that people shouldn't have opinions, it's just that maybe they should think twice before posting them? I dunno. I tend to only post 10% of what I'm thinking, which is probably worse than being outspoken but fuck it. I don't like flaming and confrontation. I'm probably asking too much.

HOWEVER that doesn't mean people can't comment on what other people are wearing, it's only natural that people are going to do that, and if it isn't meant with viciousness then it isn't a problem.
Posting in this thread will mean people will comment on the people in the pictures, both positive and negative. If people think someone has crossed over the line from a genuine comment into just being a spiteful waste of space then use the 'report' button... it's more effective then humilating yourself online.
