I got a USB memory stick through the post this morning with some mp3s on it, but whenever I try to copy one to my desktop it says 'incorrect parameter'. I'm completely stumped. They don't play straight off the stick either, as windows media palyer says 'cannot play this file' - but they're all there intact!
I have no idea what it could be unless I've managed to break the stick in the few moments I've had it. Tried to doa disk check and it said 'windows was unable to complete the disk check'. What the hell??

Return the bastard.
Erm, try formatting it, then sending it back so she can put them on again and post it back? It might have corrupted and need a format.
An odd error, definatley.
It may be my fault, when I put it in windows media player was trying to sync with it but the system hung so I pulled it out
