North Korea

With the US stating that "military strikes" could not be ruled out on both Iran and North Korea , is there not a risk that they will totally overstretch their diplomatic firepower, not to mention their military.

There is no way they could take on both, plus Iraq and Afgan, with any real sucess.

How best to go forward with these unquestionably evil regimes?

    China will handle North Korea most likely, surely every one saw that news report on China last night and could see the contrast as how a lack of democracy works when it comes to feeding the people and all that Jazz...last they want is all their fed people to be threatend by another nation in the region with Nukes.

    China has said (shame) she will oppose any military action.

    Severall reasons:
    - Lots of NK citizens will flee to China. They don't want this.
    - The have to live next to the results forever. Plus, they are definatley in Nuke range. Even if NK detonates inside its own borders, China will suffer.
    - No doubt some "stray" US Ordinance could "accidently" hit targets in China. We know those Cruise Missiles are good at hitting things they "aren't" aimed at like Schools and Hospitals.

    South Korea has announced they consider themselves in an arms race and so will spend to try to match North Korea in terms of weapons and armaments from now on.
