Vista - RC1 (Really Crap One)

Anyone getting the vista release candidate?
usual compatibility issues and bluescreens aparently.

it'll be tough to crack vista as well - lots of safeguards and rumours of a 'kill switch'.

well that's it mate it's not a beta, it's a release candidate, albeit a build.
but it is free, and you wouldn't want to give away a perfect release.

presumably RC1 will expire at some point and you can't just keep on using that ver.
would rather save bandwidth, but don't mind partitioning a few drives up for the purposes of a good install. i'm gonna get kubuntu when vista's out, and stay with xp pro.

    RC1 still uses beta code.

    It'll time-out in May 2007. :)

I'm waiting on my RC1 disks. Tried downloading the ISO but could never get it to work.

The last Beta was quite slow and didn't support my video card, but those problems are supposed to be fixed with RC1. (Oh, and MSN didn't work ;) ).
