just tried it - looks kinda boring - I guess all the improvements are under the skin.

I still don't see what all the fuss is about FireFox?

Opera 9 which is also free has tonnes of features

I do however use Portable FireFox as my main browser as it means I can move my files from my Desktop to my Laptop and go abroad and all my favourites and stored passwords are intact, etc.

Can't see much difference other than the fact is seems quicker.

Dont like the new toolbars either.

    Ho hum.

I hope they put a proper download manager on FireFox so it can recover from partial downloads, etc. Opera has this plus a bit torrent client all built in for about the same file size.

The only problem with Opera is theor are advertisements within the browser, to get rid of this you need to register, other than that i would say its the fastest browser

Opera has been free and free of ads for a little over a year now.

Yea had ads when I used it before. Seems a lot faster these days - it used to take AGES to load up, had a profile login before. Now its just like a normal browser. Bit boring :p

I'm having connection issues, dont know if its related... like it will stop loading webpages and looks like the internet has stopped (but msn will stay signed in) and then one will work a minute later, but only one. Peculiar. Probably my ISP.

In the backgroud opera is reading a news article out to me :) hehe. I like it, but it works a bit differently, need to get used to it but I'm already used to firefox. Which is better? Who knows! :(

Ohh, is this the release candidate one or final release? I'm a big advocate of firefox myself :)

release candidate 1. In about a week the final should be released but I wouldn't expect it to be too much different.
