i'll give you that one, that annoys me.
the players spend most of the time standing aboutplus
if they're replacements..............
you have to be 7'10 and weigh 22st to play.
and yet the jolly green giants are getting hit so hard they still snap their necks and lose their limbs every now and then
We only have 1 15 minute break.
Damn! Are you even from Macnhester?
Who cares?
Sky hand over the readies to get the rights to show football- its up to the clubs how they spend it.
The reason why the FAPL was set up in the first place was so the top clubs could get a bigger slice of the pie, and it sure as hell wasn't Sky who took the Football League to the High Court in order to get the FAPL created.
Why is it Sky's fault that they are showing the games they paid an awful lot of money to show? The FAPL created the broadcast packages, and set the price for obtaining those broadcast packages. The clubs make the product, the TV company just uses that product.
I know you have a pathological hatred of Murdoch, but the simple fact of the matter is that Sky have done a lot for football, both the FAPL and lower down the ladder, and I don't think they have created any of the problems.
Because of Sky lower league clubs get shown live on the TV (as a division three side we've been shown live about four times in the last two years, and that's great for the club coffers), and get their goals shown on highlights packages, Conference clubs gets live games and a highlights package of their own, and women's football gets a decent coverage too.
Sky actually saved the Football League from oblivion after ITV folded, if we're going to be accurate.

grounds that dont serve beer (seem to be increasing a lot recently)
not being able to drink in the stands, i dont get this one, whats the diff between having a pint before the game, 1 or 2 at half time and having to rush them?? where i could have a casual pint while watching the game. you can take plastic bottles, but not plastic cups on, just with a different liquid in...
people supporting a team for the sake of it but not making any effort to go see games etc... i know a few arsenal supporters and even when they play teams up here like bastards or pie eaters where there are plenty of tickets available, they dont go...doesnt make sense, but yet they will go to the turf and complain how crap the football is.
think thats about it for now!!
It doesn't make any sense.
At Valley Parade, you can sit in the stand and drink beer...if you're watching the Bulls. But not if you're watching City, I don't understand why.
Also Sky Sports. Put the Wales game on the BBC so i can watch it, seeing as nowhere around here is showing it in a pub. :grump:
There's a reason why nobody is showing the Wales game in an English pub.
Move to Wales if you want to watch Wales. You're in England now. I wouldn't expect the Scots to show England games in the pub, so why are Wales so special?
:D
I sat there in a hogshead in Exeter, on my own, in a welsh shirt...i walked out in the 63rd minute.
Also to be fair Kermit, everywhere was advertising the Scotland game. And you very well know i cant move anywhere right now, in the future yes I plan to get a job in South Wales.
Im pissed off that Wales is lacking a good keeper and defence.
If you were English, you'd be worried about the midfield and attack too...
What was he doing? Trying to predict the score?
Slovakia were my dark horses for the group though.
At all :thumb:
ha ha.
seriously he is a good keepr. had a bit of mare thats all.
jean alain boumsong pisses me of about football cos i cant believe he's involved in the game.
A couple of the Slovakian goals were pretty good long range efforts.
Err and to keep on topic: i hate the way some players go down after no contact at all, roll around a bit and gets up and start screaming at the ref/linesman looking for the foul. cheatin' bastards.
