    Im not using any plugins but you can change the settings to speed it up

    speed up Firefox >>>
    In the URL bar, type “about:config” and press enter. This will bring up the configuration “menu” where you can change the
    parameters of Firefox.
    network.http.max-connections = 64
    network.http.max-connections-per-server= 20
    network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server= 10
    network.http.pipelining = true
    network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 20 or 30 (choose one)
    nglayout.initialpaint.delay = 0
    network.http.request.max-start-delay = 0
    If nglayout.initialpaint.delay doesnt exist, Right click, new integer.

    Optional:
    network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy = 10
    network.http.proxy.pipelining = true
    network.http.proxy.version = 1.0

    Close mozilla and start it again.

    WARNING: These settings make you download sites considerably faster, BUT put a great overload on the sites you go to. This really means nothing other then the fact that anyone else browsing will just go slower and you will absorb their speed.

    Next tip:
    Disable IPv6 in Firefox for a nice page speed increase!!........ because most if not all of the web is still using IPv4...........and it works in Windows version of Firefox too. yes.gif

    Open Firefox.........type about:config (enter)

    look for :Network.dns.disableIPv6
    Double click to to toggle it to 'true' and then restart Firefox.
    You should notice a speed increase.........page to page.
    Now make Firefox really work for you...

    Extentions I got are:

    Imageshack toolbar
    dnsstuff toolbar
    tinyurl creator
    customize google
    gmail notifier
    ad block
    ie tab
    stumble upon toolbar
    download them all
    free download manager plugin

    I think customize google is great because it has loads of options and you can block the ads on google page and along the top below the search box it gives you a list of other engines you can search for quickness.

    tiny url creator obviously for making shorter urls

    imageshack toolbar so i dont have to keep typing in the addy

    dnsstuff toolbar (which you can hide/unhide) for looking up host/ip info

    I've got
    - Grocery List Generator (you can generate a shopping list arranged by types of food, & you can list recipes on there so if you want to cook something you can automatically generate a list of the stuff you need).
    - Moji kanji translation sidebar (I go on a lot of Japanese websites)
    - IM Translator (translates between various languages - more convenient than Babelfish)

    Plus all sorts of themes to make it look pretty...
