i met him about 4 weeks ago when he came into the garage where i work part time nice bloke
Stable just means he isn't getting any worse or better for that matter. He is still very critically ill.
Prayers are with him and his family.
The caravan fire!! That was hilarious
But yeah, that's awful news. Hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.
Does that mean they're optimistic he'll live, or optimistic that he'll recover from the brain injury? Feel sorry for his family, waiting to find out if they're dead, alive or somewhere in between is so shit
Shame, like.
Better than being a pansy and watching the fire from afar, in my opinion
I used to love trying to set things on fire when I was ickle. Mind you, melted plastic on hands soon changes your opinion of how cool it is. I'm hoping he's going to make a full recovery, but there is no firm evidence either way.
He's probably one of the most charasmatic journalists on television today - he doesn't just report, he shares his enthusiasm for motorsports with everyone who watches top gear. If you've ever seen him on brainiac he's just the same, except with blowing up caravans!!
That link seemed to indicate from what we've been given he'll be ok... but you never know with these things. Hopefully there will be another update by tomorrow. He's lucky to survive a tumble at 300mph though!
Poor guy.
But the BBC have stated that he is stable and has been moved from intensive care to the high dependency unit and the outlook is good.
Here.
I reckon he's going to pull through.
Aye, I read a report that said he's been having short chats with people, which is obviously a more positive sign
Bear in mind also that it's the news, so they want to make everything 100 times more dramatic and cliffhangerish.
I remember reading somewhere he's suffered some brain damage hope this isnt true
This sounds good.
But I think he will lose his racing license and that he will not be allowed to be a daredevil anymore.
If anything this will have caused a serious concusion and contusion at least and it's gonna be a long time until he heales if it ever does heal completely.
Hopefully the outcome will be good! fingers crossed.
I'm amazed anyway at how well he's recovered so far. You'd think he'd be ALOT worse off than he is at the moment, considering the accident and the speed, etc.
Lets face it though, one day something was bound to happen - they're all craaazy daredevils!
fair play to people sending well wishes, but donations?
surely the BBC should see he is ok financially, and surely he has medical insurance?
I honestly dont see the need for public donations
maybe i`m just a scrooge tho
Have you read what the money goes to?
