    I know he drives loads of fast cars for his job but 280 mph is well beyound what even michael schumacher does - don't know what his driving qualifications are but seems to me he took control of a machine well beyound his limits.

    Hopes he's OK though - I knew a bunch of people who met him for his ITV TV Show a few months ago.

    i heard about this when i got home tonigth, i was really shocked, he's someone i really enjoy on tv in top gear and brainiac, i hope he recovers as he would be a great loss to television.
