A bit of nostalgia

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Two of my fave drinks in the 90s:

&

tabclear.jpg

The Hubba Bubba drink was lush, used to love that. The Tab Clear was a bit of a thing where you'd have to have it because it was clear Coke. That was it.

Isn't Tab more of an 80's drink? Can't say I ever had the Hubba Bubba one.

    But this was always quality.

No, but I think a lot of people thought it was illegal to sell to kids. I remember when we went on a school trip once, some kid thought he was really cool bringing a 4 pack of Red Bull with him, until everyone told him there was no alcohol in it.

The only 90's soft drink I can remember is NRG. Oh and hooch was great aswell. Then the market got flooded with WKD and Bacardi Breezer. Easy come, easy go eh?

Ah yes the early Alco Pops. Who here remembers Metz and the disturbing adverts? Plus its underated brother Black Metz. Tasty at 15.

 Yeah and sometimes it would get stuck, and when I'd finally push it out, loads of saliva would come with it :yuck:

Or is that just me

Black metz! I got really drunk on that and the next morning had black sick. Yeah you probably didn't want to read that but it was quite impressive.

Orange hooch was the first alcoholic drink I ever had, in the park when I was 13. We always used to go out and drink either metz or mule. Metz was much the same as smirnoff ice, I think. All the fuss about alcopops back then!

Orangina was nice as well, I think they used to sell it in England didn't they?

Also, that Metz had only disappeared over the last 2 or 3 years?

Pop Tarts were alright as well. You had to be careful with them otherwise your lips/mouth/hands could end up with 3rd degree burns!

They still sell Orangina, in Tesco Stockport anyway! In those fit glass bottles... I love it.

I remember when we went to France for school about 6 years ago now, we all just had to try the Orangina as it was the teachers favorite drink.

And poptarts rule. I love the somores one! :thumb: Though I would hardly call those nostalgia. They get more and better flavors as each year passes.

And along the lines of Dan, RingPops! I think I may go get some tonight.

What about Secret chocolate bars? I used to LOVE those when I was about 6 or 7! No-one ever remembers them though. :(

ETA - it seems I'm not the only one who remembers! http://www.doyouremember.co.uk/memory.asp?memID=4072
