    Swearing won't hinder things with every girl. Of course some girls won't like it, but you'll find almost as many foul-mouthed lassies as you will lads in this day and age.

    Smiling is always a good start, in a friendly way. A rictus-serial-killer grin [not that I'm saying you have one!] doesn't do anyone any favours :)

    Is this "a girl" specifically, or hypothetically in general?

    Have to say though, a nice random text always gives me goosebumps.

    Not gushing or anything, just sometimes a nice random "How are you? How your cool, thinkin of ya x" gives me butterflies, if I'm in the right mood.

    It's not something you can really manufacture though, it's a symptom of something a bit deeper.

    do you like a girl of you sort of feel sick whenever shes around or you feel shakey? Because thats the idea I usually get when you like someone. just may be my opinion but if you go after someone because you like the way they look is lust isn't it?

    At the moment though I have no interest in any girl at school (there like maybe 2-3 years younger than me) and I have a motto "why have grape juice when you can have wine?"

    You make a girl (or anyone) happy by being fun to be around. Making people laugh, or take interest in things you have to say. Attraction is what turns this into more than just friendship, but this is the starting point.

    well, since it's a hypothetical situation you don't have to worry about that. I wouldn't buy a girl jewelry if I wasn't together with her. Wtf? That's like paying for a hooker.

    I shouldn't really be asking questions that are hypothetical anymore. Just simply because it doesn't really do any good and I say something I shouldn't have said.

    yeah, I am usually against the idea as well. But if I girl invites ME for a drink, oh well she pretty much captured me :love: and the next round sure enough is for me. It's all about the token gesture.

    But too many girls draw on your generosity. If there is a girl that looks like the hunchback of notre dam and has a personality of 2 metres country lane, I politely disagree (if she is about to invite me)

    Nah it's just that no girl has ever been interested in a guy just because he bought her a drink. Plenty have taken advantage of guys who think they might get somewhere by buying them a drink though. It's just such a cliche. And if a girls interested in you, she won't lose her interest because she doesn't get a drink bought for her.
