She may well love him, but it isn't that love that's keeping her there, it's fear.

But it isn't the fact that he beats her that makes her love him FFS

    I suspect its not.

Your argument seems to be that women love domineering men, and you use the example of a woman in love with a wife-beater as an example.

    WTF?

I think he's tied himself up in knots now.

Women apparently like domineering men, although only when they want men to act that way. Apparently, this women accepts being beaten because, at times, she like her man to dominate her... and beating is a part of dominating.

At least, that's how I read his comments.

I don't think you beat women, but I do think you have a very misguided idea of what a relationship is all about.

And if you say "We should go to xxxx place this week" and she says "No, I don't want to" then what happens?

Your attitude throughout this thread disgusts me.

Why does it depend how you feel, and not how she feels? Oh yes, its because secretly us women all like that dominance of someone else deciding what happens in our lives.

From today's London by London with a relevant article -
    DYNAMICS

I had a very bizarre experience while out last Saturday evening
and I'd be interested to know whether any other LbLers have had
the misfortune to meet a similar bunch of people? My friend,
Lydia, and I were at On Anon (classy I know - but we just wanted
some cheesy dancing) and within about the first ten minutes we'd
been approached by three American men who chatted to us for a
couple of minutes before operating what seemed to be a divide and
conquer type manoeuvre. It was odd, not overly forceful, and as
yet nothing really to complain about, but they really weren't
keen on us talking to each other. Weirder still was that despite
getting on quite well with the guy I was chatting to, the third
guy (Owen - or Tyler Durden to give him his 'stage' name)
suddenly appeared and removed him, replacing him with a younger
and less confident guy. I started getting weirded out by him, he
kept trying to hold my hands and he struggled when I didn't give
him the answers he was expecting as if the conversation was all a
little scripted - and Owen was stood behind instructing him the
    entire time!

We made our escape and headed to the bar where Lydia told me that
the beardy guy, who had been talking to her, was a motivational
speaker and that they were in London for a conference and were
out that night putting into practice some of the techniques
they'd been teaching that day. We started suspecting then that
they might have some sort of 'seduction school' type link but
weren't really sure and forgot about them. That is until we were
approached later by Owen (who turns out to be one of the founder
members) and another socially inept young man. I stopped them in
their tracks and told them we weren't interested in their weird
little chat-up techniques and then got into a bit of an argument
with him - he claimed that any woman could be manipulated to find
any man attractive using his techniques. I found this all a bit
degrading - he doesn't seem to think we have minds of our own!
He also didn't like being undermined in front of his protégé and
whisked him off - I suspect saying all sorts of awful things
    about me.

Towards the end of the evening we found the beardy man again and
quizzed him on what was going on - he eventually confessed that
they were a seduction school of sorts and that they were in
London for a Super-conference but were bringing guys out on
bootcamp nights to demonstrate pick-up methods. They apparently
operate in a number of the bigger London clubs and bars most
weekends. I suspect he thought he was going to 'close' us by
playing to our cynicism. He failed.

The group is called Real Social Dynamics and the website makes for some disturbing reading,
particularly the forums but you'll have to register to read
them. Some of the 'game' that these guys encourage is so
misogynistic and vile (one of my favourites being the tip that if
you vaguely insult a SHB - super hot babe - when you first meet
her then she will feel the need to prove you wrong by coming on
to you for the rest of the night). Beardy man said he only worked
one weekend a month and that paid him enough for the rest of the
time - it seems that the guys who go on bootcamp are paying
somewhere in the region of $1500 for the privilege, as well as
travel, accommodation (I didn't spot a British bloke amongst
them) and the price of the Super-conference which I think might
have been the same again! More money than sense.

Anyone up for setting up a rival school, where the guys get a
genuine female perspective and we undercut by half?

Sounds a bit like the thing that Tom Cruise did in Magnolia. A lot of these motivational things are quite big in the US, not just scoring with women, but how to loose weight (stop eating?), get promoted (stop pissing around on the internet and do something).

I'm not absolutely convinced that any of them actually work - and any man who needs a motivational coach on picking up and shagging women probably just needs to leave home and cut himself free from Mummy's apron strings.

Well to be fair Tyler Durden is a schizophrenic dillusion in Fight Club, but read into that what you will.

Well of course none of them work. D'you really think they'd cut off their source of income by actually solving any of these problems?

there was a seduction show on channel 4 not so long ago featuring 3 english men who had never had a girlfriend or even a kiss in their lives. 2 american men taught them how to seduce women and they went around london barss trying their technique. i thought the techniques were pretty piss poor tbh and i didn't watch til the end so i don't know if it worked but its doubtful.

I saw that! "Seduction School" or something, right? One was realllly tall, one was really short and one was really fat if I remember rightly.

Only the really tall one was successful (and I could've guessed that that'd be the case), even three months or whatever down the line. I thought the techniques were daft, too, and they harped on about all these special signals and all that bollocks when basically all they did was give them a confidence injection and the boot up the arse to actually get out and start taking chances, mingling and giving it a shot with different women.

I think I've seen some of those. Tips like telling them you're waiting for a friend to come back from the bathroom so she doesn't feel too pressured and you have an excuse to leave. Or compliment her, but put a quick insult in there as well though so it's not an out and out compliment. Hey here's a tip. Get a fucking life and spend your time actually trying to achieve something, rather than working out how to get girls to fall for you, and you won't need all this bullshit, you'll just meet people.

yeh. i thought the fat one looked just like elton john when he put his purple glasses on

and you're right, they just needed the confidence to get out there and meet people.

    You did ! ! :heart::love::heart::love::heart::love:

Enough of that, how about me answering your question ( before the criticism begins ;) )

I can`t remember the last time I was bored. In a plentiful universe of seemingly infinite possibilities, how could I be ?

I hope you feel that way too :)
