erm im against a lot of business practices, but im not against business as per such, and you cant just blindly ignore the views of one group no matter how silly they may seem, as sometimes they come up with okay views and ideas on how to deal with things
Opportunism. Socialists tend to ignor businesses especially when workers are being expoluted as like they currently are being.
dont put all your eggs in one basket springs to mind - that is most peoples' problem these days, they see things far too much in absolute! theres principles and theres good practice, which need to be balanced
Yeah but their beliefs can't contridict to what they say.

Luke are you sure your not a rascist? After all you do seem heavily pre-occupied with the influx of those dirty foreigners into the country.

Did you know that this countrys birth rate is lower than ever? Would you rather the population just declined or rather immigrants come in?

I bet you wouldnt have any problem if they were from Western Europe, the United States or Australia.

Again, nothing constructive to say on the issue.

But benefits weren’t the issue. It was the amount of them coming in.

no the newspapers were like "oh we dont have enoguh jobs so theyll start claiming benefits"
All of Poland’s skilled are coming here, I don’t see that as something positive for Poland in the near future.
we are getting people who are skilled in things we need, and the reason they leave is because they have a surplus over there, polands unemployment has fallen since the enlargement because they couldnt find work for their tradesmen there
See you don’t get it. The issue isn’t about whether they have jobs or whether they’re nice people or not. It’s how we can sustain the increase in immigration and the affects on the British people.
    [/QUOTE]
no people i see who argue against immigration CONSTANTLY CHANGE their reasoning when shown to be wrong for one reason, which comes across as just saying "i dont want these foreigners here"

and in terms of population density, we arent THAT populated say compared to japan/china/s.korea

and it isnt immigrants responsible for the house price rises, it is mainly due to more 'natives' living alone and wanting to live in the south east, and more people trying to make money from housing from those stupid tv shows, even the USA and australia with their huge chunks of unused land have seen a huge jump in house prices, despite the fact australia has a tiny population (a third of ours) and america has so much usable land thats okay for building on - this would suggest it isnt immigration but a generic rise in house prices, due to good lending conditions so people are willing to try invest and make money

So why are we ignoring history? Why is segregation and ghettos allowed?
Because you've got no right to tell people where they can and cannot live. If they want to live among people from their own country, who are you to tell them they can't? In fact, how is it any of your business at all?

They must abide by the rules of the land as it is not their country. they must integrate to avoid alienation and future troubles.

Immigration and asylum have risen to its highest level ever since the Labour government came to power – Fact.
The rules have been relaxed – Fact. Don’t you see the correlation?
And yet the economy has continued to grow year on year, and unemployment has remained relativly stable (one of the lowest levels in Europe). Tell us where the problem is again? Maybe a few housing issues, but nothing major.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

Aye, I can agree with this. But not the rest of highly xenophobic stance.

Immigration has been, and still is, good for the British economy. In this case, it seems you are ignoring this... to pursue somesort of other agenda?

I'm lead to believe that the rules of the land are that people are free to choose which house they purchase or rent. Has that changed without me knowing?

A few houses? I doubt it. Why is the government so keen to build hundred's of thousand house sin the south east?

Unemployment is the highest since 2000.

The laws of the land are acts coming from Parliament.

That is why I can't be bothered with you as all you ever do is call me racist. So let's make a joint agreement and ignor each other? Cool.

And the number in work is it's highest levels ever. Unemployment is at it's highest level since 2000, yes, but the percentage unemployed then was tiny, and it's still only 5.5% which is pretty damn low. Far off being the crisis that you would think all these immigrants would cause if you were to believe some members of the press.

    Who's talking about the press?

I am talking about that since immigration has massively increased so has the unemployment level.

What else could I blame when there are people out there like yourself who actually believe there is a problem with immigration?

Someone has to be putting such absurd and untrue ideas in your head.
Judging by this poll, most British people are worried about the current immigration crisis.
    http://uk.news.yahoo.com/03092006/143/poll-backs-cap-eu-workers.html

You claim the British public doesn't mind.
"A new poll has shown strong public support for limits to be put on the number of new migrant workers. "

Dam you must be on of the very tiny 4%. lol!
"Only four per cent believed ministers have immigration under control"

    Check this one out...
"Eight out of 10 respondents said that migrants took jobs from British workers"

Aladdin, now, stop kidding your self and get real!

All I am saying is that most of the British public have excat same concerns as me. I'm often labelled racist around here so I assume the lot of us are then (British people)?

I've already said what the problem is, how on earth do I get called racist so many times?? lol

I have stated solutions so many times too but these also get called racist.

Hang on a minute. A minute ago it was the unemployment levels that were the issue, and now someone's proved that we actually have very low unemployment, you're suddenly going onto another issue? It seems you've come up with your opinion first, then have just gone out looking for evidence to support you POV. Stick with unemployment. So since despite the huge influx of immigrants, the UK still has the lowest unemployment levels in Europe, what's the problem again?
