.bin & ISO

I know there has been a past .bin thread

Well i download something...:nervous:

And its got a .BIN file which 337mb

And then there is a ISO which is 1KB

Erm the .Bin file i dont know what program it uses but what im wondering is if i burn the iso will it burn the .Bin file will it all work nicely or do i need a new program

Edit: tryed deamon tools and it wont let me mount the .cue

    dont know much about either format but i guess the ISO is a bad image? i thought .cue where the small files and iso and bin the big ones.

    Try renaming the .bin file as .iso and burning it.

    I've seen .mdf and .mds, where the .mds is meant to be some info about tracks (?) similar to .cue file. I think even in this circumstance you can rename .mdf to .mds and burn it.

    Try selecting 'all file types' when opening with daemon and directly opening the .bin

    looks like you got a dodgy download.

    get isobuster (free) open the .bin and see whats in it. if it doesnt open, its dodgy.

    Thanks for that ive just found out that the sims 2 glamour life mucks up your pc if you use a no cd crack and i uninstalled it and now my familys are gone :banghead:

    For future reference, a .bin file is normally downloaded with a .cue file, which is about 1kb. The .cue file tells the program how to burn the .bin file (the compressed data) onto the disk.

    An .iso is the same thing but in one file. Normally if you have a .bin file you can just write the .cue file yourself or use a program to change it to an .iso file. Seem to be not having a lot of luck with these downloads, are ya ;)

    and looking through torrent sites and p2p networks will probably yield results too. However I can't link to them here, so you'll have to find them yourself.
