Obsessed with bread.

Just to add a little bit of light entertainment to the boards (i.e - for you all to laugh at how dumb I am), is anyone else as mental as me, and gets hooked on things?

I'm currently eating my third piece of bread and butter in the last hour and am strongly considering another. I even bought the right type of bread this morning especially for it, even though I knew I should get the one we normally have (my justification is that this ones cheaper :hyper:)

Please someone tell me it's normal ;)

Bread is delicious... no, toast is delicious. Grilled cheese, turkey sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, blt, any sandwich (with cheese, miracle whip, lettuce and tomato) cinnimon sugar on toast, maple syrup on toast, toast with soup, chicken salad on toast, italian beef on french bread, toast and asparagus soup. Oh bread is good stuff. I rarely ever have some though.

And wonderbread is totally the best :thumb:

Ever since I have been dieting, I have been dreaming about bread. :(

Does your diet not let you have bread? Poor you *pats*

I'm not a big fan of bread. The smell of fresh baked bread is one of the best smells ever though. But working in a bakery has made me pretty much immune to it. :(

Miracle Whip is like mayo, but better :yum:

I love bread; nowt better than a big doorstop slice of bloomer with loads of butter and really mature cheddar.

Does anyone make their own bread? Absolutely brilliant. There's an absolutely brilliant bread recipe of rolled parma ham, cheese, and boiled egg bread in one of Jamie Oliver's books which is absolutely divine.... :yum:

Last year I ate two ice-creams one right after the other. That's the most I think.

I get bored of tastes quickly. Sometimes I might still be hungry but not want to eat any more because I'm bored of the food's taste.

Oh what else can you make in it? Is it easy to make bread in it? I'll have to get one too now
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru

I love bread, eat far far too much of it. I also ate about 2/3 of a tub of ben and jerrys while hungover once. I tend to over-do things a bit on the food side.

I've woke up with a craving for it as well now. I may just carry the loaf around with me all day.

Warburtons Batch Loaf (brown bread with loads of seeds on/in it) has me hooked. That's one loaf of bread I can eat loads of with a bit of butter on and nothing else. :yum:

Or French sticks, when they're fresh. :yum: The only white bread I really like.

You can make Jam in the bread maker too :yum:

My Dad has one at his house and he sets it so that it bakes overnight, so you get that lovely 'Just baked' smell when you wake up
