It's all very well getting someone's number when you're both drunk at the end of the night and after you've pulled them for 30 mins, but you might not really give a damn about them the next day, because there were no real feelings in it anyway.
If I pull a random in a club, I don't even bother getting their number because I know I won't use it again.
"I’ve let quite a few girls recently go like this" - were they ever worth calling the next day in the first place? They only way you will find out is to talk to them when you're not under the influence of drink, assuming that going out involves booze.
