Groin injury

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Hey guys,

I've hurt my groin in a basketball match tonight. It hurts like hell everytime I get up. I've never had this injury before so I don't know exactly how to treat it...

Should I just rest? Or should I see my GP? Thing is I got another game Friday night, and I wanna play, do you think there is any chance of me making it?

Any advice will be appreciated..
:)

If it is a strain use the R.I.C.E method rest ice compression elevation. Im doubtful that you will be ready for friday as strains are usually where muscles or fibres tear, just rest it for a few days and see ow you feel.

Just rest for a while, & remember to properly warm up next time. :thumb:

    I had a warm up game, 3 on 3...
The problem is my lack of match fitness. Last night was the first time I played a match in 5 years.
Anyway, today it looks to me like a grade 1 strain, so I will rest it for a couple of days and maybe if i make a miracle recovery, I will play tomorrow!! :chin:
