hi, I'm 15 and I want to know how I can fix something. When I open up my network connection it says I don't have a local area connection .... http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/2151/helpkj2.png
Where can I find the network cable so I can plug it in? I have a wireless connection to another computer upstairs. PLEASE HELP ME!

I don't seem to be getting your full image so can't advise completely. It would be great if you post the screenshot again.

If you're using a wireless connection you shouldn't really need your local area connection and should be able to disable it safely, as long as your PC is definitely getting its connection to the Internet wirelessly. Just right-click and disable.

You don't need it :) it's because on the back of your computer you have a LAN port where you can plug a wire from your computer to another one, and you don't have a wire in it, so it says it's 'unplugged'. You're using wireless so no prob there.

It's the exact same as mine, it's nothing to worry about :thumb:

I wonder if disabling it saves on electricity :thumb: I'm just lazy...
