Gay relationships

Great to see the libdems have come out (b'doom!) in favourof giving legal recognition to gay relationships.

But what chance of the other two parties going that way? It's a bit of political hot potato -- and i don't reckon labour have the balls to go down that road, not with such a backward electorate...

Anyone?

    I agree.

Neither labour or the conservatives would legislate to allow gay relationships the same rights as others, ie right to marraige, pension rights etc.

I guess this is hypocritical when you consider the number of gay MP's.

I've got no problem with it, and would like to see gay relationships officially recognised.

I think that most political parties just tend to steer clear of gay rights as an issue, remember all they want is votes. Like it as an idea, but unfortunately don't think it's going to hapen anytime soon.
