Postal Orders

Some twit on eBay has sent me one and I have no idea what to do with it!

I had a look online and it's talking about crossed ones having to be paid into a bank and uncrossed can be cashed at the PO. How do I know if it's crossed or not

Best thing to do would be to go to the post office and ask them about it. Have you looked on the Post Office website yet?

UK sterling postal orders can be cashed at the post office or banked like a cheque.

    From eBay.

Yeah I know that, what I was asking is how do I tell if it's crossed or uncrossed.

If it's crossed it will have two lines going down the middle and say, account paye only.
I always pay them into my bank.

It's one of the new style ones that looks like a cheque, is that still the same then?

To be honest I've always just taken them to the post office - in a way it's much better than a cheque or paypal because you get the cash immediately.

The one on the left is crossed, the others are not.
