Theres been an interesting shop crop up in the town centre near me called 'cookieshake' - good concept, they sell milkshakes for £2.95 and make them in around 50 different flavours ranging from bountys to wine gums to jam doughnuts.
Nice looking shop interior, expensive menu's printed, looks nice.

But heres the question: how the fuck are they still in business!? :eek2:
I went in to test it out, ordered a jam doughnut milkshake. Now i was expecting some kind of powdered or liquid flavouring mixed with some ice-cream to make it thick....not a chance. The whole concept of the shop is to add whatever ingredient you choose to half a pint of semi skimmed, mix it all up in a blender and pour it into a plastic cup. how shit is that!:grump:

well i just made one myself - used a couple of choc bars broken up, put them in the blender first for a bit, then added some milk, then added quite a few scoops of rasberry ripple ice cream - turned out a treat (and didnt cost me £2.95 in the process! :))

ETA: if you have oreo cookies and malibu, it's the shiznit in a milkshake :yum:

    http://www.shakeaway.com/brighton.html

we have one called shakeaway and it is always packed, do some really nice ones, you can also make suggestions but to be honest there seems to be every flavour imaginable. My favourite is one they do with glace cherries some preserved cherries and them hard boiled cherry drop sweets. Our one uses milk and ice cream.

So let me get this straight... they put a donut in the blender with some milk. And voila...

I'm quite sure thats how they feed old people. Put their steak in a blender, add some liquid and stick a straw in it.

    Well was it any good?

see the first post. it was ok, but bare in mind that £2.95 is about the equivalent to $6. Totally not worth it imo

The Brighton version is brill, and they sell ones with soya milk in- as I'm intolerent to dairy- it's brill for me!!!

    what did it taste like?
tbh a donougt in a milkshake sounds rather discusting to me... = a milkshake with pieces of soggy bread and jam inside it :yuck:

It kind of reminds me of if you just ate a bowl of ice cream, and before it ate a donut, threw it up then scooped it out of the toilet. Kind of that weird creamy texture barfed up ice cream is with chunks... yeah... I'm with you on this one, just doesn't sound good at all.

Shakeaways are brillient, I dont go very often into that bit of brighton as I always end up in there. There are a lot of nasty cheap imitations of them though. I saw a milkshake in worcester once and it was an absoulte rip-off of shakeaway.

Ah, you've clearly never been to 'Uncle Hitler's set the customer on fire then beat them with a shovel toxic waste electric boogaloo casino'.

It was only open for an hour or so.

It had a hell of a sign though.

Maybe not the doughnut one, but some of those milkshakes sound really nice!

On that menu they are called "ice-cream milkshakes" but didn't you say it was just milk and doughnut?
