You know those text messages that always seem to go around, the ones where people say text me back what you think of me, in just one word.

Well i got one of these messages a few days ago, and actually decided for once to forward it on, and see what responses i got, had quite a few pleasant ones etc.

But i just received one reply from someone which has me a bit bemused at to what to think of their response. Their one word reply as to what they thought of me was "tepid", im not quite sure how to take that?

What would you guys think if someone sent that to you?

    In text message? Sad. I should feel lucky I have no friends now. As theres no retards out there to send it to me. :heart: And if I did. I'd have to no longer be friends with them.

    And I don't know what tepid means so I would just think that they are drunk.

    On further investigation I've found out what it means. So since I don't believe you are water, was it an ex that sent it to you?

    I think it means warm, or something along those lines.

    Webster says it can also mean lack of passion force or zest. marked by an absense of enthusiam or conviction.

    Maybe they think you're boring.

    Maybe they think you think too highly of yourself?
    Not everybody you send spam texts to are going to reply nicely to them. I'm surprised anybody did tbh. I'd be right pissed off.

    it means a person isnt very emotionally outgoing I think. Like, not harsh, but if someones upset you wont give them a huge hug and break down crying, you'll just pat them on the shoulder and stand there kinda thing. I think.

    I would not think anything of it, because I knew I wasn't tepid.

    Unless of course you are tepid. Then I would just nod and carry on...

    To be honest "tepid" doesn't seem like an extremely positive reply, but if they are being honest fair play to them. They also might not like spam texts, so responded with what they thought may well make you think twice before sending one to them again.
