I've personally not been but a friend has.

    It is very desolate.

I have a friend that used to live there.

She reckons it had a population of about ten.

I've been a couple of times. My parents nearly moved us up there when I was little. It is pretty bleak, but some people like that kind of thing. There are some cool archaeological sites. Viking stuff maybe?
And a castle that I walked round a corner of and got blown over by the wind. It was a strong wind and I was a small child, what can I say.
And one of the hotels in Lerwick has a swimming pool with a map of the UK tiled into its floor.

    Those being my memories.

And of course, the iccle ponies.

I went to the Orkneys a lot as a kid, never been to Shetland though.

Your best off going to Jersey, it's quite good there. They have clubs and pubs and have some fit woman (probably more munters though) Shetlands don't have any of that. The weird thing is that in Jersey I couldn't help thinking that everyone was related to each other because they all had the same type of weird teeth

I want to go...there's a town called Twatt on one of the islands. It would probably take about 4 days to get there though....just for a picture of me grinning inanely by the sign that says "welcome to Twatt" :D
