Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
i keep ringing a house phone but it says it "cant accept incoming calls"

what does this mean? has the phone been cut off from the telephone company or has it been turned off inside the house?

a killer cut the wire so nobody inside the house can call the police... you should quickly alarm them.

Maybe they're on the other line and they don't have call waiting?

    Problem with the phone company?

on a serious note: a friend of mine as something similar like a answering machine, instead it can't tape anything, but instead tells you to sod off, so a incoming-call-get-rid-off-machine...

Maybe they got something like that, or they unplugged their phone.

try it after 20 minutes or call a cellphone.

Maybe they set their number to not accept calls? Is that even possible?

It would still ring your end, even if there was no phone plugged in. It could be a number of things, only the cunts at BT can tell you what it'll be.
