I've just purchased just over 3 months worth, I've used them for under a week at the moment, do they have to run their course before they can help?

    Thanks.

But in order for the b5 to clear the skin, it has to be mega dosed at 5000mg. You needn't worry though, where B5 is a water soluble vitamin chances of OD are extremely slim. I would recommend drinking at least 2ltrs a day along side it.

As a result of this thread I went to a health shop yesterday, couldn't find b5 and the assistant didn't really understand what I was asking for, so I got B Complex which has (in 2 capsules) 167% of the RDA of Pantothenic Acid (as well as a load of other B vitamins and folic acid).

Is this the right amount for me to be taking?

It comes under PANTOTHENIC ACID, not b5 strangly enougth. If the b5 adds up to a minium of 3000mg's then its ok.

How long will it take before they clear up? Does it prevent white heads, spots, and clear up the previous stuff??

    How effective is it really

People report a week, but just use all the pots for maximum results. To enhance it even more, make sure you drink alot of water & have a clean diet & hygine.

It says in 2 tablets there is 10 mg.

Are there not any negative effects of taking so much?

I've suffered from spots for more than 10 years and have never heard of all this B vitamin stuff till now.

Each of my tablets contain 200mg of Pantothenic Acid, is this enough HIT?

It also says the recommended dose is one a day, do you take more than this?

Sorry for all the questions :hyper:

I have written what to do in the posts above. :crazyeyes

Take 5000mg of vitamin B5, in conjunction with a clean healthy diet, 2 litres of water & vitamin & minerals.

I never follow instructions on the back of containers. I research different things before hand, to determine the dosage I need.

There is no need to worry for overdosing on B-vitamins, because they are water soluble, so drinking plenty of water will help flush the system. To start experiencing sides on vitamin B5, you need to be taking about 10+g a day. Your only taking 5g, so there's nothing to worry.

I would be more worried taking accutane than vitamins.

So you mean 5000mg in total, over a period of time?

So if each of my tablets contain 200mg of Pantothenic Acid, your saying you need to take 25 :eek2: tablets a day to get it up to 5000mg?

Thats why I recommend buying 500mg-1000mg tablets. I works out alot cheaper & effective.

That sounds a bit ridiculous to me. As 2 tablets have 10 mg in, that means I would have to take (um....) 500 per day? Are you mental?
