An off-putting hobby would be something like collecting your own toenails, or watching violent, misogynistic porn.
    :yuck: :yuck:

    being myself doesn't work

Sir, if being yourself doesn't work then you're chasing the wrong person. There is no point being anything other than yourself - otherwise the person is being attracted to something you are not, and it'll take them 2 days to figure this out.

Never be ashamed of who you are, or what you enjoy. There is someone out there for everyone - and just because you haven't found her yet doesn't mean you have to change who you are. :)

    really?
I always thought that was a long walk...
what would be a long walk then?

Youth of today! 25 minutes is NOT a long walk!

A long walk is hours, and the best long walks are those that take hours but where neither person has any concept of the time it has taken. :)

I really don't think you have anything to worry about, as long as you do something else with your life apart from the things you mentioned above. As Suzy said - that's bordering on obsessive and it's not healthy.

OK I don't collect my own toenails, thats just plain sick...
I don't know what misogynistic means but if you mean stuff like rape then thats a no as well. I watch hentai but only in private

    And how far is that?

To be fair, I can't see much pleasure from walking around the suburbs of London. But an evening spent wandering around with a nice girl can still be a very rewarding experience - nicest on a still night, when the stars are out and it isn't too cold. Just don't try grabbing the first girl you see, because they may be rather concerned about you wanting a moonlit wander with them :p.

As long as you have a personality and dont constantly badger on about these (frankly sad) things, then Im sure you'll find someone.

I really wouldn't care about a guys hobbies.

As long as they didn't include raping and/or killing innocent people and such like.

I think that's more of a career choice than a hobby, to be fair.

I was just thinking. Girls aren't traditionally into football either. But do you think that football would be popular at all if it meant that watching it would prevent you from getting a girlfriend? Well actually, I think the birth-rate would fall dramatically, but that's a different story.

My Girlfriend likes Manga, She's not heavily into it but if it's there then she will enjoy it, I play a fair bit of video games and stuff, She's ok with it cos I make time for her. and Long walks. as far as I know, most girls are really into the long romantic walk thing

At the end of the day, i love my boyfriend, so even if he is rather into WoW and PHW radio (I almost got shot for calling it PWP) I can put up with it.

And I'm sure he thinks a lot less of my hobby than I do of his. :p

My boyfriend's really into video games and manga. I also have some friends that love manga too and I occasionally read theirs, but I prefer video games.

To be honest, it would put me off. But not in a 'eww geek' way, but a kinda 'we're not compatible' kind of way.
I hate video games, I hate Manga and I hate walking... I wouldn't care if that's what you love, I just wouldn't be attracted to you because of how different our interests were. :chin:

It's their problm if they don't approve of you playing computer games etc, it's a bit of a stereotype but it's also true that a lot of socially active attractive girls ain't too smart, if you see where i'm going with this.
Hmm, I know quite a few attractive, yet ditzy girls, and I find that once you get past that, they're often pretty intelligent. I know one girl who regualrly made statements like "I never knew Manhatten was in New York" after years of watching Friends, and didn't pick up that our other friend was gay, despite going into his room and seeing Justin Timberlake posters all over the wall and his full back catalogue of Heat magazine (not to be stereotypical at all). She was two marks off a first at university. Another friend of mine was asking whether the mirrored writing that spins on your Windows screensaver actually reflected whatever was in front of it. She's going to do law at a pretty decent university this year, and has pretty good A-Levels and GCSE's so far.

thats why thesite is so great

even the best of the best of the best who go to somewhere like oxford university, might not have encountered problems such as many of the ones discussed on here

theres people who know how you might solve things in theory, then theres the people who can and do give advice, who have been there to live through it
