Well as some of you many know my grandfather died a few weeks back. Well he was a great hoarder(sp?) of things and the amount of stuff we have to go through is amazing.
Anyway im not quite sure how he came to have them but he has in his roofspace about 10 or so paintings, the value of them kinda blew me away.
Think about three of them are worth about £4000-5000 and the rest are in the hundreds. Now my dads not quite sure what to do with them. It worth investing and keeping them or would it be more worthwhile to just sell them on?

Things seem to increase with value as they get older.
But only whilst there is sufficient demand for them. A 'classic' is generally defined by a generation - later generations often only recognise 'classics' because they have been told that they are 'classics' .
My opinion - keep them. Your grandfather obviously liked them - or give them to a local hospital or something. When someone dies, their goods should be used and appreciated in the way they were meant to be.
