Sh*t - this is hard
You all so cooooool
And man im wired
And feel like a fool
I am what I am
I ain't no snobby
I work behind a bar
And play pool for a hobby
I like to write
I write alot
About the state of the world
And the poor man's lot
I march for peace
I jam with musicians
And i try not to freak
At right-wing opinions
I don't own a mobile
I don't watch TV
I keep my eye
On the powers that be
By logging in
To what the world has to say
Here on my computer
Every day

Thats all i can say

I'm left handed. The irony being, I'm right-winged but play on the left wing.

    Go figure.

I'm empty headed, right footed, left handed, down trodden, up-lifted (getting your reply), hung over, going under, staying in, passing out...

    :chin:

nope:no: I aint got no more

    You can say I'm mad,
    you can say I'm crazy,
But I'm only as bad as the maker who made me
    Sinner in the darkness,
    liar in the church,
    Deaf man's silence,
    the blind man's search.
    Teardrop falling,
    memory recalling,
Ghost in your dreams & your secret recordings,
    Mad man's matches,
    the lump in the throat,
    The pea under your mattress,
    the hole in your coat.
    Singer with the sound down,
    winner on the come down,
Poet in the overcoat looking for a suntan,
    On his birthday,
    prisoner on his first day,
    Tired of the new wave.

spartaalbion, I like your rhymes, man – d'you write lyrics?
I see you live in Brighton – activist territory…Brighton comes up in the Indy news all the time. I also read that you're a chef… maybe you know the best thing to do with a tin of tomatoes, a tin of tuna, a couple of potatoes, and a sorry looking garlic bulb. (It's all I can find in the cupboard).
    There's fresh coffee though… that's the one thing I can't be without!

    Thunderstruck,
Thanks for getting back to me – here's my favourite Oscar Wilde quote:

"Morality, like art, means drawing a line someplace."

    Hello Missy,
I see you've got a quote from a true humanitarian.
I also get a lot of inspiration from the words of Dr King. I'm not religious at all, but I think the man's speeches – especially those about Vietnam and capitalism were spot on. Wish he was still here to talk some sense to us all!

I like it – it shows you have an ironic sense of humour – and we all need some of that these days!

I'm a east coast / central belt girl myself but the west coast is very beautiful (with the exception of parts of Glasgow). Haven't been to Oban in a few years now but it is a lovely place.

As for the whiskey, I wouldn't know, never drink it!

Wilde is completely overrated in my opinion. His lists of pretentious quotations are nothing more than juxtaposed words set in a vaguely clever manner. Boring if you ask me. Plays aren't great either.

I put him as my signiature as something of a piss-take of all the people who place Oscar Wilde quotations as their sigs just to look cool. It's highly complex irony. I did have a Plato one there that I actually quite liked but decided to change.

    f...

I've gotta do some work- catch you later.

Hey Sharry21 - glad to hear you 'never drink it!' - it's great for cleaning paint brushes with, though!

The fool speaks because he has to say something. The wise man speaks because he has something to say.

    I also like Spanner's sig.
