How do you achieve these levels of curls please?

I have fairly thin wavy hair and I use a couple of products which make it a lot thicker and fuller but I was wondering how I could get those little tighter, bouncier curls like in the picture below of Luke.

I have some curling tonges but I am a bit inexperienced with them, so I was wondering if any of you Pro's could give me some advice please. I've tried taking a small amount (say 1cm width) of hair and curled it up and held it for 5 seconds but it tends to be quite a loose curl. Thanks for any help. :shocking:

Mr Pritchard is rather yummy though.
Do you blow dry your hair? If your hair is natrually wavy and you're blow drying it you might find it ends up curlier if you let it dry natrually. And also how long is it? If it's long you might find the weight of the hair pulls it straight.
Other than i dunno what to suggest.
Imo, curls on men are only appropiate in Screech and pubes.
Though, yeah, they are probably natural, though you could get yourself a set of rollers and do them up before bed. Maybe get a green facial mask too.
its more cool than trying to make it something its not (unless it looks like shite when natural, in which case its acceptible)
i personally think that medium legnth hair on a man with a slight tousled wave, left to its own devices is damn hot

On the first line I say "And after men with curls don't look gay... " because both men I in the pics I have quoted look gay to me...
And the second says "The second one even with his fucking bear still look gay imho..." Which means the beard guy in the second pictures still look gay in my humble opinion...
