After hearing only good things about Spirited Away I've just watched it and I didn't like it...Does this make me a bad person?

I really liked Grave of the Fireflies on the other hand. Sobb

    If you wanna watch a good anime flick check out akira
    or if you want to walk on the wild side try urotsukidoji
    a warning though its half violence and half hentai...

    I like spirited away...but I could see while watching it how it could turn a lot of people off! So no, you aren't a bad person :)

    why would watching a film and not liking it make you a bad person anyway?
    some films are an aquired taste for instance
    almost every man loves scarface, the godfather, pulp fiction etc.

    some people hate the films but that doesn't make them bad people.

    I think the Studio Ghibli stuff is the easiest anime to get into as its not that intense compared to some stuff.

    Whoever suggested Akira or the overfiend films needs their heads checking, it'd scare them off for life!!!

    any of you akira lovers interested in the 2 dvd ltd edition akira in the metal box complete with book and tattoos etc....?

    been tring to sell it for ages.

    i dont particularly like anime, but i actually really liked spirited away!! i was quite shocked at myself..

    the only other anime scene that ive watched and liked was that bit in 'kill bill' when o-ren iishi is younger and hides under bed etc. that was cool :D

    Spirited Away = Qualité

    Other good ones you may enjoy.

    Ghost in the Shell - bit of a classic
    Akira - the daddy of all animes
    Cowboy Bebop - the film has divided opinions. Personally I love the film but everyone loves the series
    Samurai X - stupid but really good
    Wind Named Amnesia - really, really rare but the best example of low-budget 80's visions of an apocolyptic future movies. Plus the voices are hilarious.

    and no, of course there's nothing wrong with not liking Spirited Away, but I'd suggest trying Princess Mononoke, one of my all time favourite films, animated or not.
