    Agreed, it was a penalty. Thought France were the best team today, but I guess Zidane's antics cost them the World Cup.

    that's a bit harsh, i think it would have gone to pens either way, and they only lost cos trezeguet's penalty hit the bar and bounced down in front of the line instead of behind it, that's a pretty tight margin to win the world cup on........i'd love to know what materazzi said to zidane to make him do such a stupid thing in the final with 10 minutes to go, no excuse mind........i do feel sorry for the man though because his career's ended in disgrace, i'd say he was the best player in the tournament and one of the players of all times, shouldn't have ended like that.

    Whilst in Russia, one of the Russians, who wasn't too bright, whilst watching France, and who clearly didn't know where France was on a map, asked, "so where in Africa is France?" Classic.

    Gutted for France - Zidane in particular - but, nevermind.

    The penalty wasn't a dive, come off it.
