Is it possible for me to keep my mobile number and switch from contract to Pay As You Go? I'm only asking because I get about 30 minutes each month, which I rarely use and it seems like a waste of money if I'm not going to use them...

    o2 offered me to swap my number from contract to PAYG, so I reckon so.

    every contract phone except BT (not O2) gave me a free swap to PAYG at the end of my contract, I always seem to be on a new network every year

    but if you don't make many calls then somehitng like Virgin is good, cos others you have minimum of £10 top ups.
