The 18 month itch!

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I absoloutely love my boyfriend to bits. I love being in a stable relationship and I wouldn't change it for the world. HOWEVER, does anyone else ever just wish they could go out as a single person, just for a day, and get it out of their system?! Am I going mad? I'd never dream of cheating on anyone but after 18 months I've got the itch! Someone reassure me!

Yours is a natural response and one I'm sure everyone here can relate to. It's not that you don't love your boyfriend, but from time to time we all need to know that we can be attractive to more than one person. It's an ego thing - we all need a massage now and again.

I've been with my hairy honey for 2 and a half years now, and even though everything is still very 'honeymoon' ( I still get excited when he's due home from work), I sometimes feel like having a bit of a flirt. It's harmless, and we wouldn't be human without this feeling.

Why don't you tell your boyfriend about this, in jokey terms? You can get it out of your system, stop feeling guilty and congratulate yourself on having a wonderfully open relationship!
