First impression

I've met this sort, but I don't know how to take things further. Is it best to steam in and make it plain I fancy her, or be a friend first and see what happens?
Beep boop. I'm a bot.

simple advice mate -> get in there before someone else nabs her. chicks think they're being really obvious when they're giving off signs, but if you're like most of us guys, you wouldn't know a come-on if it was written in bold right in front of you!

As a 'chick' - I wholeheartedly support the previous advice. Boys have the upper hand in this sort of thing, (very sad, but very true I'm afraid) and really what do you have to lose if she is not interested? So long as you act with style and dignity she will feel flattered and be impressed with your confidence.

What do you have to lose if she's not interested??? How about your self-confidence! Personally, I've never been turned down by the laydees out there <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/wink.gif"> but i can imagine the humiliation and depression which would come with it...
Am i the only one that thinks most girls are complex, vindictive people who spend their lives messing with your mind?
Awaiting the backlash now....

Well, I thought I'd report back - I took your advice, and I tried to be myself with the girl I really liked. Which was promising for a while, but then she started confiding in me about some guy she fancies. She says she can relate to me because I'm not after one thing like most other blokes. So thanks for your wisdom, guys.

No! Don't just "steam right in there!" Girls like to get to know a lad before they go out with them. Become her friend, get to know her, then ask her out.

Just use your initiative, there are times when firing in there with all ahste is the best option, other times there ain't. I suppose in the long run anything worth waiting for is worth waiting for...to coin a phrase.

surely the logic is all there...rejection is definately easier the more drunk you are and the less you know the person in question..?...Least it can't have anything to do with who you are but what you look like and how much of a twat you are when pissed..?

Yeah, but then you end up feeling pretty damn stupid and cheap when they run away screaming!
If it really is "the one" (which I do believe in because it's also known as "love at first site" or a "spiritual connection"), then I think you should be romantic, invite them out on a date and see what there reaction is - but you've got to play it cool! Too hot and they'll run, too cheesy and they'll laugh at you!
