3.50 a bottle though! Bit steep.

I drink it sometimes, pint glass with loads of ice does the job nicely.

It's alright if it's a couple of quick ones down the pub.

Not quite so good if you mix it on a wild night out with vodka cokes, WKD blue, Aftershock and shots of whisky/brandy and you've work at 9am the next morning.

So, so ill this morning :sour:

Mixing drink generally fucks your stomach up in the morning. Though, when you're already pissed you'll drink anything that you can get your hands on! :D

It's so much more drinkable and well...nicer than lager. 4 or 5 bottles of Magners, then JD & Cokes equals a quality night out for me and no hangover :thumb:

magners is great but thatchers organic from 'spoons is better and cheaper!
    :)

Last night was proper fucked up, ended up in Rutherglen (fuck knows why) got about an hours sleep, somehow found my way home after walking about for two hours, just enough time to shower and pitch up at work in some fucking state and a half :thumb:

Over £3 seems awfully steep for a bottle of magners, unless it's the pint bottle which seems about right.

Aye it's a fucking rip off down south. Though they do have one of the highest GDP's in the world so it's good for them but shit for us when we have to visit there.

Probably the same reason they buy Fosters, Strongbow and the like.

I've heard good things about Magners, but I'm not a big fan of cider really. Tried that Strongbow Cirrus (sp?) stuff but it was fucking foul. My mate swears by Magners, might try it this weekend.

Whoever mentioned that pear cider at Wetherspoons - my mate nearly creamed herself over that stuff. Must be good.

I don't buy things I think are 'rancid', are they idiots?

I know you aren't. Either the people in question are indeed idiots, or they have very different tastes in alcohol to me. Both are equally possible. For example, some people here would recoil in horror if I said that Blossom Hill made the worst wines. I suppose it's more down to individual taste.
