I dunno if this should go in waste time, sorry if so.
I'm so irritated, i have a bottle of water and i can't bloody open it. There is nobody here to ask and i've almost taken the skin off my hands trying. Anyone have any tips for opening bottles? I was thinking about jamming it in a door and twisting it? Pliers didnt work, i'm starting to think someone has glued it shut to piss me off.
I'm not even thirsty i just really want to open it now...:grump:

I seriously think someone has glued it, i cannot be this weak surely
Leave it for 20 minutes and try again?
ETA - try with rubber gloves on?
Good plan, but i dont have any rubber gloves. I don't want to give up but i feel scissors might be my only option. The lid looks like it has been opened once and then put back on, i'm pretty sure it is glued.
and then the water inside wont be nice
I think this only applies to glass bottles/jars and metal tops.
If it's a plastic bottle stick a pair of scissors in the bottem and whack a straw in and drink it upside down.
I have the scissors beside me but i'm determined not to use them.
I managed to open it just by hand, its still water but made a fizzy air type noise when i unscrewed it, maybe there was too much pressure inside? It wasnt glued after all
 I know but i didnt want to give in
It isn't giving in! It's using your initive. It's what seperates us from lesser creatures who don't.:thumb:
Cheers
According to thermal physics, the increase in size of the oscillations in the "warm" H20 will result in the expansion of the lid, as the oscillating atoms transfer their energy by conduction - meaning the lid can thus be opened easily. So, you could always do that, and then cool down the water again. Or you could drink it quickly.
Just a thought.
Nope, it works with plastic bottles too. Have done this in the past and it works
Not only would the lid not turn, the plastic was so soft that when I tried to turn the lid the bottle got twisted instead. And as if that wasn't enough, water started leaking out.
So I was in a dark room, barely able to watch the movie, with the skin on both my hands hurting (because I tried with both hands) and my trousers wet.
i agree:rolleyes:
At least the tyrant, also referred to as my physics teacher, must like using nooby language (like, oscillating instead of vibrating and direction of propogation instead of direction of travel ). He's sent fear into every single pupil's heart.
No more mr tyrant next year though. Another teacher is taking over! :hyper:
/totally off-topic
What happens when the ringpull snaps off without opening the can though :crying:
Stab it with a knife till it opens. What can't a knife solve?!
Plus... I like opening coke cans with an air rifle. It am much fun.
am i getting owned here? I can't really tell!
