Does It Ever Get Old?

Ok, I'm just curious, and I think about things too much, but I was just wondering...

Does having sex ever get boring? Does it never get to the point where you've just exhausted every position and every little kinky idea?
What about with a long term partner? Do you ever get bored?

I'm almost 19, and still a virgin so I've got a lot of fun yet to have! (YAY!) but I'm not the shyaway type and I think I'd like to do everything there is to do. But will there ever be a point where I just get bored?

    I got bored with my ex, but then it was always straight in there after minimal foreplay, and it was demanded (literally), and it was the positions that he demanded most of the time.

    With my current boyfriend, over a year down the line it isn't boring, and we haven't even started using anything other than ourselves (yet ;)), so I would say that unless both partners are unwilling to try new things, or wont admit to there being a problem, that it will never get boring.

    I think it depends on how the sex is and how the people wo are doing it enjoy it... I think if it is not just pure routine and both people are enjoying each other it can't get boring...

    So long as there's good communication between you, and a willingness to try new things, then I don't think it would ever get boring.

    If it did, you'd just have to be more imaginative.

    And if all else fails, just abstain for a while.

    Yeah, I definitely agree. My sex life when I first got one was rubbish, though it probably seemed just fabulous at the time.

    It gets better whether you're with a succession of people OR someone long-term, imo. In the first instance you get to have varying amounts of success and fun judging if you're sexually compatible with the person - and you learn a lot... well, sometimes. In the second case, there's a lot to be said for really knowing someone's body, what they like, don't like and them for you.

    Obviously you could run out of things to try, or at least that you're willing to try. But repetition isn't necessarily a bad thing when you're still getting satisfaction out of it... it's generally boring sex that's bad, not repetitive sex since they don't always go hand in hand in ruining a sex life. If that makes sense :)

    IMO, no. But I"m only 20. Though they invented viagra for a reason, if it got old, by the time you needed the stuff you wouldn't want it. ;)

    It never gets old, but you do have to work harder because the novelty of having a new body obviously goes.
