Poem...

Not sure if this is in the appropriate forum, but I'll give it a go.

Does anyone know of the poem that goes something alongs the lines of, "...Do not cry, do not be sad, for I am just around the corner..." ?

I've tried searching for it on Google but haven't come across it yet. Apparently it's well known, so just wondered if anyone's familiar with it? Title and author would be good :)

Ta,
xx

    Is it this one?

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die.

Nah, I keep finding that one, and I quite like it, but I'm looking for this other one that my mum's on about. Cheers though :)

It is quite a nice one .. it was read at my Grandad's funeral..

The only other one i found searching was this one ..

    Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I and you are you,
W whatever we were to each other, that we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone,
wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow,
    laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Pray smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
    that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort,
without the trace of a shadow in it.
Life means all that it ever meant,
it is the same as it ever was.
    There is unbroken continuity,
why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
    I am waiting for you
    somewhere very near
    just around the corner.
    All is well.

I've found that one too. Once again, it's a really nice poem...It's not a big deal, my mum was just going on about a particular poem she might like to be read at her mum's funeral and I thought it'd be nice if I could find it for her.
    Thanks anyway :)
